1. Barbed WireBarbed Wire

Types of Barbed Wire:
Type A:
Both barbs are twisted at first between themselves and then one turn round the base wires.

Low carbon steel wireTypes B:
Both barbs are twisted at first between themselves and then one and a half turns round both basic wires.

Low Carbon Steel Wire

Hot dip zinc coated to BDS 10065-86;
DIN 1548.
Distance between barbs -80 +-10mm or 110 +-10mm.
Number of twists for the base wires in one meter -over 10.
Package - the barbed wire is delivered coiled on rolls of 25/30 kgs placed 33 numbers per Euro pallet.

It ranges in size from 0.6mm to 7.0mm.

Common Nails:
Technical requirements for the common nails meet the requirements of the Company Standard FS-J-01-96 and Euro Norm EN 10230.

Package:
In cartons of 25 kgs, placed on wooden pallets, securely strapped and shrink wrapped.
In cartons of 1.0 kg, 2.5kgs and 5.0 kgs placed directly on the wooden pallet or placed in master carton and then on pallet, securely strapped and shrink wrapped.

Molding Pins (Foundry):Wire Nails
Technical specifications of the molding pins are according to BDS 4819-88.

Package:
The molding pins up to 80mm are packed in cartons of 10kgs approx. and those with length over 80mm are packed in cartons weighing up to 5kgs.

Nails for use in Automatic Nailing Machines:

Wall Panels & Marbleflex

Wall Panels have a uniform smooth surface. This is due to the composition that makes up the abestos-free fibre cement sheets. The natural colour of the panels are light rey but can be painted with any water based emulsion or acrylic to give the desired finish.

Weather Resistant
The sandwich panel is non-flammable, water resitant, non-corrosive, anti-acid, non-rusting and non-rotting.

Stability
It is extremely resilient. It does not warp or bend even when exposed to heat or moisture.

Workability
It can be cut or sawn using a tungsten carbide-tipped power circular saw.

Marbleflek

Marbleflek is a one-pack decorative multi-colour coating suitable for interior use on almost any surfaces where attractive hard wearing decoration is required.

Marbleflek is available from a virtually limitless range of colours and can be colour-matched to any brand of multi-colour from any manufacturer.

Marbleflex is ideally suited for use in high traffic areas: Hotels, Resorts, Schools, Hospitals, Offices, Shopping Malls, Airports, Banks etc.

Surface Preparation
Surface should be clean, dry and free from loose or flaking materials. Apply a coat of Marbleflek Basecoat prior to applying Marbleflek Multi Colour.

Spreading Rate
Approximately 4 square metres per litre depending upon pattern type and substrates surface texture.

Application
Supplied ready to use. Apply by spray only. Spray apply using the cross lap method of application, ventilate during application and drying period. For best results, use spray gun fitted with medium/large internal mix spray cap connected to pressure pot. Pressure should not fluctuate during application so as to ensure consistency of spraying. If thinning is required 5% water should be added gradually in small increments.

Glaze Coat
Marbleflex Glaze Coat may b applied as an additional top coat for a glossy and extra protective finish.

Substrates
Marbleflek can be applied on Dry Walls, Fibreboard, masonry, Plaster Walls, Gypsum baords, Brick and Cement Walls, Acoustical Tiles, Wood, Fibreglass, Plastic, Glass and almost all building materials.

Marbleflek is anti-static and does not atttract airborne dust, thus reducing maintenance costs.

Drying Time

Flatboard

Superflex is a smooth surfaced asbestos-free, Flatboardcellulose fibre reinforced cement building board. Autoclaved, it is tough and flexible, and is the ideal choice for many general building purposes, both internally and externally.

Superflex won the FMM award for "Product Excellence" when it was launched in 1985. Unsurpassed for economy and ease of working, Superflex is as durable as it is adaptable.

Available in a range of stock lengths, widths and thicknesses, it is ideal as cladding for walls, ceilings, porches, gable ends, partitions and permanent formowork.

A versatile board, Superflex will not burn, rot, split or swell and is not affected by termites, insects or vermin under normal conditions. It can be cut, drilled, nailed and worked in similar fashion to timber and chipboard, but offers a much longer life performance. Flatboard Fixing Instructions.

General Product Information

Basic Composition:

 Portland cement, refined sand, Basic Compositioncellulose fibre and water.

Durability:
It is autoclaved, resistant to water penetration, will not  rot and is unaffacted by termites,  insects and vermin.

For applications within normal specifications, the life span of the product is limited only by the durability of the supporting  structure and the materials used in  fixing.

Handling and Storage

Boards should always be stacked flat on a smooth level surface. Edges and coirners should be protected from chipping.

Timber blocks may be used as supporting surface provided a smooth flat surface is ensured as shown in diagram.

To ensure optimum performance store sheets undercover and keep dry prior to fixing. If the sheets should become wet, allow to dry thoroughly before fixing is commenced.

Painting

For excellent results, Superflex board may be painted with water based acrylic paints.

No additional primers or sealres are required.

In all cases reference should be made to the paint maufacturer's instructions.

Mass
The mass of Superflex 6.0mm (based on Equilibrium Moisture Content) is approx. 8.5kg/m2

Framing
Superflex boards are suitable for fixing to timber or metal framing.

Boards fixed to metal framing should be of minimum 6.0mm thickness.

Framing should be constructed in accordance with local building regulations and accepable building practice. Studs should be spaced at 605mm centres.

The maximum distance between noggings is 1220mm.


Metal Frames
Metal framing members should be fabricated from light gauge sheet metal 1.2 or 1.6mm thick.

Superflex board must be fixed directly to drawn steel or hot rolled steel sections which first be lined with timber battens of suitable thickness or light gauge steel framing members.

Insulation
Where foil insulations is used as a climate control and moisture barrier, it should always be fixed to the outer side of the stud in the framework.

DPC is manufactured to approved British Standard Requirements for the composition, finish and impermeability of Polythene Damp Proof Course for use in masonry construction.

Description

DPC consists of a black, low density polyethylene sheet with a mass in the range 0.425 kg/m2 to 0.54kg/m2 formed from a polyethylene polymer of a melt flow rate of five or less when measured according to BS 2782:


Method 720A and has a density within the range 0.915g/ml to 0.925g/ml at 23°C when tested according to Method 620A, 620B or 620D of BS 2782:
Method 620A and 620D: 1980
The sheet contains a minimum of 2% by mass of evenly dispersed carbon black and contains not more than 5% by mass of material other than polyethylene.

DPC is manufactured in a single layer thickness of not less than 0.48mm ensuring the material is free from any air bubbles and that there are no visible pin holes.

Installation

InstallationInstallation must be in accordance with the relevant section of CP 102: 1973 Protection of buildings against water from the ground, and must follow normal good practice for the detailing of damp-proof courses, as set out in BS 5628: Part 3: 1985, and be in accordance with the manufacturers instructions.

Work can be carried out in all weather conditions normal to the construction of walls.

The DPC must extend through the full thickness of the wall or wall leaf; including pointing, applied rendering or other facing. The DPC must be laid on an even bed of mortar. Any perforations in adjacent courses of brickwork must be completely sealed using double sided jointing tape. When using this product with boot lintels or similar construction, it is recommended that the material is installed to follow the lintel profile.

Cleaning of Cavities

As with most other damp course materials, damage can occur during cleaning of mortar droppings from the damp proof course unless care is taken. The following recommendations should prevent damage occurring:
1. Cavity battens should be used to prevent excess mortar droppings reaching damp proof course.
2. Mortar droppings should be removed before they have time to harden.
3. Implements such as steel rods should never be used for cleaning.
4. Damp proof courses should be examined for damage as work proceeds.

Applications:

  • Near to ground level as a moisture barrier.
  • To close cavities at openings in brickwork.
  • In parapets, to prevent downward water penetration.
  • Beneath sills and coping made of porous material.
  • The high profile embossed surface gives greater adhesion to mortar particularly in the early stages of building when high winds can damage the stability of incomplete walls.
